On leaving a hospital, many patients may have a choice either to recover at home or at an extended care facility. Depending on their condition, many of those who choose to go home may need a health care worker to help them in their home. Starbright Employment Agency, Inc. is one of the many agencies that provides the services that you may need. It may be a good idea to check with your hospital discharge planner, physician or social worker who will help you choose the services appropriate for your needs.
Home Health Aide: The Starbright home health aide will do household chores, assist with personal care and keep track of medication schedules. In addition, the Home Health Aide will assist with home exercise programs and monitor medical condition.
Nursing Assistants: Our Nursing Assistants are state licensed and are responsible for assisting in moving the patient from bed to bathroom; lifting, turning, rotating and positioning bed bound patients. They also provide non-sterile dressing changes, urinalysis, specified catheter care and report condition and vital signs of the patient.
Licensed Practical Nurse: Not only can the Starbright Licensed practical nurses provide all the services provided by a personal care aide and a home health aide, but they can monitor vital signs, dispense medication, provide wound, colostomy and catheter care and monitor your blood sugar.
Registered Nurse: The Starbright Registered nurses provide all the services a licensed practical nurse provides. In addition however, registered nurses provide skilled nursing services such as IV therapy and use of high tech equipment.
Before you leave the hospital, you should get your physician and hospital discharge planner to determine the type of care you will require. You can then call Starbright and leave the rest to us.
